Mentoring is a two-way street, and often the more experienced person, or “the Mentor” learns just as much from their “Mentee.”  I want to personally thank a few of my WEDC Mentors, including Sonya Greene, Lane Fabby, Patti Martin, and Gen. Paulette Risher, to name only a few.  They have been my sounding boards, confidants, and friends, and helped me navigate transitions in life.  Thank you!

Since being paired with my mentor, Lauren Smith, she has allowed me to be vulnerable and share things that I may not be able to share with co-workers, family, or friends. We all have busy schedules but by having someone you can rely on and be able to hold each other accountable, you see the real benefits of mentorship. Lauren has continued to make our relationship a top priority, and for that I am forever thankful!

One of the best advantages I have in the WEDC mentoring program is the business ideas and opportunities that I have seen come my way through the interaction with various entrepreneurs. Through the WEDC Milestone program, I have been able to interact with very bright minds and brilliant ideas. My take away from being in such a prominent group of women is to the see the diversity of how, we as women, make good leaders. And for that, I am forever thankful for being part of the WEDC Milestone Mentoring Program.

I’m really enjoying having Maike DeMaria as my mentor. Not only does she talk to me about career challenges and goals, but she also mentors me on a personal level. We meet often, and I enjoy every conversation we have. I always walk away with something good to think on or act on."
