The WEDC Milestones are a group of young women business professionals, who are mentored under WEDC as they provide opportunities to women for leadership and economic development through education, mentoring and networking.

The WEDC Milestones empowers young professional women to grow into bold, impactful leaders through mentorship, education, and strategic connection.
Milestones Purpose
The WEDC Milestones Program empowers junior to mid-level professional women through a structured blend of mentorship, leadership development, and strategic engagement. Our members grow through monthly leadership sessions, peer-to-peer mentoring, community service, and active involvement in WEDC events.
Each participant follows a personalized development path—earning points through career planning, service, and organizational participation—with the goal of becoming eligible for WEDC membership.
Qualifications for Milestones Program
- Age & Career Stage: Women under 35 years of age who are in the early to mid-stages of their careers.
- Growth-Minded: Genuine interest in leadership development, mentorship, and self-improvement.
- Active Participation: Able to consistently attend meetings, events, and fulfill program commitments.
- Future WEDC Member: Eager to pursue WEDC membership after program completion.
Milestones Program Selection & Onboarding Timeline
- Applications Open: July 1 through August 30
- Interviews: September 1 through September 15
- Induction: October WEDC Leadership Meeting
- Milestones Program Orientation: December
Commitment of Milestones Participants
Milestones participants are expected to consistently attend the following monthly meetings:
- WEDC Leadership Development Meeting
- WEDC Milestones Meeting
- Mentoring Meeting (in-person or via call)
- Other events related to the Milestones Program (Career Development Workshops, WEDCF Graduation event, etc.)
Path to WEDC Membership
To qualify for WEDC membership, Milestones participants must complete 100 points (approximately 100 hours) of developmental activities across key categories. Points can be earned flexibly and at each participant’s own pace during the 18-month program.
